Hino: Brisbane Truck Show

The bi-annual Brisbane Truck Show has become the pre-eminent national commercial vehicle exhibition. Hino is a leading participant, a leader in the medium duty 4x4 commercial vehicle market, and a major contributor to the road transport industry.

TPG assisted Hino in:

  • web promotion of Hino's involvement (TPG provides content and hosting to www.hino.com.au)
  • media liaison before and at the show, and
  • event management.

In 2013 the CVIAQ (Commercial Vehicle Industry Association of Queensland) achieved a remarkable eight per cent attendance growth. Hino's enthusiasm and support was central to this success.

TPG has used social media to generate B2C excitement at trade shows such as Brisbane. Twitter, Facebook and purpose-built blogs have brought immediacy to event promotion.

Traditional media liaison - face to face communication with influential journalists - is enhanced by on-stand reveal presentations reinforced by well written speeches and media releases. Product pictures are an important part of the media package.

TPG managed the reveal process, executive movements and liaised with CVIAQ.

Outcome

Hino was well covered and recognised as an important show contributor. Brand image increased.
